I was joking with my buddy about throwing McDonalds food in his pond to promote big ole fat Bass. It got me thinking about trying to manipulate the growth of wild fish in a lake. I know we stock different feders all over the country, but what if we could develop something artificial, that was consistent and available in mass quantities? (I know the overfed fish tank image instantly comes to mind). I guess I'm wondering if we could come up with, and if people would be in favor of something that had acceptable natural consequences. It sounds great, but then I realize it could change, among a plethora of other things, the catch rate and size. It could end up killing the thrill of the 10+ chase.
like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

didn't some fat cat create a couple of lakes with the idea of growing record size bass and feed them tons of crawfish?

LaPerla, they used freshwater prawn, i'm not sure how this project ended...but I don't think any state or world records have been broken lately... https://www.bassmaster.com/tips/building-world-record-bass

Indonesian tiger prawns if I'm not mistaken, but a far cry from the solid protein of a rainbow trout.

Purtis Creek would have been the perfect place for this experiment just after it first opened to dump 10 inch rainbows in the cooler months - not so much now until the grass carp are gone, if ever.

like pumping hundreds of trout into a pond to fatten up the bass? I guess I was thinking of some manufactured product. Honestly the manufactured product part sounds like a terrible idea. It seems that stocking feeders wouldn't make a big difference, but I haven't read into it.
