Got a new Terrova. Is this a good video to follow? Seems like it would be best to use the trolling motor to make go in circles? Does it matter which you use, can you use the trolling motor? I got a mud motor, so it does not turn as good as an outboard.

Got it from shut-up-and-fish, had it to me in one day!

This guy uses his trolling motor. His tip/fix is to simply calibrate? We figured that is a requirement. And sensor can be anywhere on the boat, right? Does it have to lay flats, or can you install it vertically? Thx Guy

Yes you just use the trolling motor. I believe it has to be set horizontally so it knows what is forward. Make sure before mounting it that you use a cheap compass to make sure that location has no interference with electronics.

Calibrated mine with it on the trailer in the high school parking lot worked just fine. Just put it in calibrate mode and drive in a large circle. My sil was driving and I sat in boat. No problem at all.
