I've seen people put the weight on both ends. Big end makes sense in that the tail would have more action up, but the tail end puts the head of the worm up and maybe bass eat the head 1st no matter. I've used both and caught fish both ways so maybe if you have the right color in front of a fish it doesn't make much difference. Videos I've seen put the weight in the tail. What do others do?

I'll put a ringshank finish nail in the head most of the time. If it's really windy I'll put one in the tail too

This -- I just put the "clam" weight on the line just above the knot. -- works the same
vary the weight size for drop rate and/or wind.
this allows both the tail and head portion of the worm/senko to "wiggle"

Another words, it all works as long as you get a color a bass can see in front of their face. Thanks for all the input. I have some of those screw in weights which I like on the Yumi's because they are pretty light weight. Sinkos take care of themselves.

plus 2 on the weighted VMC hooks. Monte Coon turned me on to these last year and I have been using ever since.

To all the VMC weighted wacky hook guys....look into the flashing light thingy (men in black), and forget about them.

If using a VMC weighted hook, use a elastic circle around the bait, or the fish will throw your bait most of the time. I know
I have lost enough baits. cry

I am a little old school. I use a big swivel about 12-18" above the hook. Free running and the bait swims down to them. So, I fish neither, I guess. WOrks WONDERS on fish that are finiky, too. Still giving away secrets, guess I ought to stop doing that. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
