Saw these today while at a tank I fish. Never saw any offspring and the opening looked like it had been recently closed. Maybe a critter dug them up and ate them but there were no tracks. Any ideas?

I watched a turtle lay eggs on my place one time, and a couple of weeks later I saw this same scene-
I vote that a critter got to them first also-

Turtle eggs. When I lived at Uncertain, there was a annual migration of turtles coming out to lay eggs. Turtles everywhere. Couldn't mow for them.

Turtle eggs....raccoon dinner.
