it surprised me how many of the 22 had red tails. The 10 in the first 2 hours was a record as was the single day total of 22.
there also was a dead over that didn't count and a slot that was a hair under.
Congrats to all of the Skeeter anglers on a great day of fishing.

I have to second the vibe comment. This was my first time fishing the event.
Vendor area is neat, Bbq was delicious, TFO rod is nice.
I was shocked to actually see how many boats are on the lake, but pleased with how courteous and reasonable everyone was in close proximity to each other. I was able to meet a ton of people while fishing.
As for the fishing, boated five. Had one just over 16�. Bite came to a halt for us after 10:30am, and then it got HOT. Cant wait for tomorrow! Good luck, all!

Big Bass of the Day 9.41 was caught on the second cast of the morning, on a 10" worm. according to the guy that caught it, Low over was 5# something. record 2 Day over is 25
Me and Son caught 2 way under. .93 and a 1.28 everything else was slot bass, 16.1/4, 17, 19.3/4 and a 20 1/2 , Son had a nice one break off on #20lb flor, after around 11:00 fishing got tough
Good fun day of fishing with the Son, maybe Sunday will be our day

Enjoyed the walking around and observing but the attempt to fish was insane. We caught fish but impossible to fish where you wanted. Still had a great time.

29 total overs, dead fish for the tournament 8 and all were eaten.

the most overs ever caught in a tournament was 37 a few years ago at the Legend in May, The Legend is a 3 day tournament. The Skeeters Owners Tournament fishes exactly 1/2 of that at only a day nd a half.
But the SOT has more entries
And we have been putting Florida strain fingerlings in the lake the last three years in the back of creeks. Perhaps some of the results of those fish will start showing in the DNA study we are doing for TPWD in the next couple of years. By DNA they will be able to tell where were put them in.
This year we put a big bunch in Coffee Creek.
