Headed to Tawakoni with my Toy Hauler and staying at Wind Point Rv. Will be fishing four about four days. Taking my Hobie PA 14 and putting some jug lines out and chasing Hybrids/Striper, sand bass, crappie what ever will pull. Never fished it his lake before so it will be a learning experience. I will try to update nightly how I did that day. Anyone ever Kayak fish Tawakoni ?[align:right][/align]

I have several times around sun point, not sure where that is in relation to where your going to be though. I have fished the dam end of the lake many times in winter. Great luck.

Didn't do very good fishing from Wind Point RV Park on Tawakoni. There is a reason they call it Wind Point. Great spot to camp with the RV. Water front spots with full hookups. Problem is there is Rip Rap all along the shore to keep erosion down so you cannot drag kayak up on the bank behind your camper. I had to load and unload at ramp. The water is pretty shallow around that area of the lake. Max I found was around 17 ft. I'm sure it can be good fishing there but not this time of year. Don't get me wrong I caught some fish but not what I was expecting. A few Blues up to 3# drifting with shad and a few white bass on rattle traps and sassy shad. I would think that the area would be great pre white bass run staging up before heading up the river. I will be back just at different time of the year.

We saw you that day out of the main lake. As a fellow kayaker, I would strongly advise you to fly a flag especially on windy condition.
We could barely see you in your dune PA in 2-3 ft rollers.

Shoot me a PM next time you decide to go twok, I do not fish twok on my yak often but would definitely be interested or can point you in the right direction. Not sure where you are located but Texoma is on fire if you are looking for striped species.
