Took both sisters out fishing. Had to look while but we finally found fish at Spillway Hump, the Rock Pile and Doll-house Point. Ended up with 100 whites, a 20 inch hybrid, a couple of cats, a crappie, 2 yellow bass and several short hybrids. Fish were shallow (10 to 15 fow). We all used #4 silver Mepps Aglias. Sister Beverly with nice white Sister Dee with huge white Yours truly with a nice white bass

Thanks for the report Dennis. I have been out a couple of times on the northern end and can only seem to find little fish ( 6 to 10 inches ) with a few keepers mixed in. I have found them to be shallow as well in 10 to 15 ft, with some coming in a little as 8 ft. Using #4 silver Mepps as well. There was a gentleman this morning at the tennis courts that was catching lots of little fish just about every cast. I did not ask what type of bait he was using, but he appeared to be using a silver Mepps also.

If the gentlemen was in a kayak, that was me. I was using the old #4 too. I found 55 on Saturday morning and about half would have been keepers. On Sunday I found 43 but they were all small but for 10 or so. Most were in 8 tom10 fow. I tied on a slab for a while to test the difference and it was noticeable in the frequency of the bite. I also tried the #2 with a weight on the line, I found that a much more difficult way to fish. Need practice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Gordoeagle, the gentleman I saw was fishing out of an inflatable one seat pontoon. Went out Sunday , to several spots , and found bigger fish in 10 to 15 ft. at Merimac point area. All caught on # 4 silver Mepps.

Glad to see you're still afloat. I believe I saw a jetski in the lift in place of your fishing boat. My trolling motor has been broken so I've been trolling a little and did catch quite a few of all sizes at rock pile last weekend. They were shallow, I think i caught quite a few in about 8 foot of water. A quick question. Where are the tennis courts? I only know of one lakeside tennis court which is right next to rock pile. Is that what this is referring to? Thanks Scott

I found a lot at Key Ranch North today. Caught 50 and left them biting. Nothing large, most medium to small size. Caught a couple of hybrids and one yellow. Mepps #4 and chartreuse slab worked equally well. They were feeding on shad 2 to 3 inch.

Thanks for the report, Woody. I'm now finding fish at most of the usual structures. Fishing is good now at Cedar Creek.

Mr. Dennis, I found some at Merimac Point last Saturday. I left a orange marker buoy there for you... LOL
I am learning to find them on the graphs. Now I need to learn how to get them to bite better. Thanks for the reports! Keep them coming.
