Yeah, it was on here. There were a couple threads on it but I know one had it anyway.

Try a search for it.

I would guess that it’s called camera surveillance 24/7. Do you have a conspiracy theory working?

It just struck me strange that there would be 24/7 surveillance of a dam. Or there dam vandals or such?

Since 911 all dam structures(Meeting certain Standards) must comply with Home Land Security Standards which includes 24/7 camera surveillance on structures under the Homeland Security Act. thumb

I just spent two days with my music partners from Seguin and McQueeney, one is a SFD commander. Amazing stuff going on there. There are/were three dams in that area of the Guadalupe scheduled for repair or rebuild, Dunlap being the third in line. Apparently it just moved up in priority.

Now there's a big political brouhaha brewing between the GBRA, the property owners, and the city of New Braunfels. One dam on the Guad broke in 2016, and Lake Wood is now dry along with Dunlap. Most of the water wound up in Lake McQueeney. The Guadalupe river still meanders through the area while homeowners are seeing their boats and pontoons sitting in mud or hanging suspended from boat docks over deep mud. Whatever happens, it's gonna cost many millions of dollars to repair. Here's a fairly current breakdown of the situation.

The cost of repairs has gone from 1.5 to 3 million per dam to 35 to 70 million for the two dams. As long as they don't become hazards, they will not be fixed.

How much water is left in it now? Hard to tell from the pictures/video. Is it feet of water or just inches left in the pools?

Hey Herb,

I am also a musician and obsessed bass fisherman, but new to the Austin area. I'm sending you a pm. Would like to get in touch with some other musicians and bass guys in the Austin area. I'm in the Lago Vista area of Austin. Thanks!

How much water that is left is whatever the river is flowing per Canyon Lake release. They are currently releasing 350 CFS. I went by the ramp under 35 today which is not usable at that flow, except for kayaks and such.
