Has anyone been out to eisenhower state park lately? I have not been this year and I was thinking about going Sunday. I wanted to make sure I would be able to get in and launch.

I called the state park and they said the boat ramps are closed.

I called the state park and they said the boat ramps are closed. Are you launching a boat off a trailer or just walking a kayak down to the water's edge? If the park is open, you should be able to launch a kayak as long as you don't stand around asking for permission. Just do it!

I typically like to launch by the dam myself.

I just need somewhere to park. I could put my kayak in anywhere. I heard that Eisenhower had cones blocking the boat ramp parking lots last week.

If the park is open, you should be able to launch a kayak as long as you don't stand around asking for permission. Just do it! The lady at the gate obviously saw my kayak, asked if I planned to fish, I said yes, she said I would not be allowed to launch. I was still turned away last week after having a long conversation that my kayak did not require a ramp.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

I think if you get the parking right, everything would work just fine
