Exactly the way we do it .

Same.

I assume all you guys most of some degree of income equality between you and your spouse right? Mine stays home now, but before kids when she worked I made about five times as much as she did. This whole separate account thing just wouldn't fly. I'd be living like a rock star and she'd be living like a pauper. Not sure how that wouldn't breed jealousy in a relationship.

We do money this way, I make more than her, but to even thinks out I pay more of the bills. Works for us.. both have plenty of play money and plan big purchases or house upgrades together and both contribute to the cause.. usually take turns paying at the grocery store.. being a man I always pay for dinner tho lol. I can say money is one thing we dont fight about, now if I can just figure out the other 20k reasons she gets irritated lol

Same here. Mint has been good so far.

Same bank account for 25+ years. She pays all the bills. Any purchase over 1k has to be discussed, but that is rare and usually something that benefits both, ie... she has wanted a flat top stove for a long time. I had no problem with that.

I work and wife stays home to raise kiddos. We have a joint account that covers all expenses and I have a separate bank account that covers all my fishing expenses which my wife doesnt not have access too.

One account... both work.. make a decent living nothing fancy. If she wants something she buys it and I do the same. Within reason of course.

Ok don't ban me for this but some of the young guys need to hear it. A guy I worked with and his wife were arguing about money. She worked as a manager at a local business. She made decent money but James made the most. He paid all the bills except her car payment. He said she was always complaining about being out of money. James said he finally got tired of hearing it and told her: You have your own pu$$y, you don't smoke or drink. He said a $100 should last you at least a month. I spit Dr. Pepper all over the break room when he told me that.

Joint checking and savings. She makes double what I do, what's there to complain about?
