How do you guys weed out the white bass and just get to the bass when fishing offshore?

thanks

Target big bass with a magnum spoon. The small bass are there with the sandies to share the shad. The big bass are there to eat the sandies. thumb Something like these: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/6th...6B9LVuNYh5fq5t0uj6uEAXngwARoCOHYQAvD_BwE or even bigger: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Nichols_Ben_Parker_Magnum_Flutter_Spoon_8/descpage-NCMAGSP.html

Another approach is to throw baits the sandies normally don't hit. Football jig or big worm seem to work well for me. I've caught alot of sandies on the lake fork flutter spoon and the 4" wild eye shad swimbait.

Big sandies that will take drag are still fun. It's the little guys that are a pain.

A bigger crank like the 8xd or 10xd will keep some of the smaller sandies away. A c-rig is probably my preferred method, followed by a big jig.
