 where to fish beach at port Aransas

never been there before.will be there for 1 week in June.can i get an idea of what part of the beach that we can drive on is good surf fishing? dont care what we catch just have fun like when we lived in Savannah we used Squid and 4 oz sinker.caught plenty sharks.can you buy frozen Squid local there? thanks

Live shrimp works for everything. Fresh dead shrimp is ok. Sand fleas and live Croaker can also also good. Live shrimp under a popping cork works good for trout especially at daybreak. Head down Access Road 1-A and turn south (right). Look for a spot you like from there and set up. The beach gets crowded. Fish early. The further south you go sometimes it's less crowded.
You get out of it what you put into it!

Most bait shops will have frozen squid. Some gas stations carry bait also. Not sure which route your taking to get there but if your going through Corpus you can stop at Roys bait and tackle, Cosway or Red Dot Pier for bait.

I would not use a treble hook. Small kale would be better

Youll also catch whiting which is great cut bait.
