I am a LOT different than most people. I fish brush piles with a CB, as mentioned, but I also throw a small profile plastic, like a baby brush hawg or something in that range. Maybe even a big tube or 5" senko. I find a gget more bites, big fish include, on smaller baits, I get a LOT more bites, too. You DO have to wade thru some smaller fish, but that is not generally a problem. Just some different thoughts on the problem. I DO use 1/2 oz weights to get the bait down quicker, though, or even as small as a 1/4 to 3/8s. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
