Careful with the neutralizer, I have heard that it will also dissolve the carpet glue if you use too much of it.

I'm always seeing these posts about the spills. Why does nobody use the spike it spray. Cant spill that. Works the exact same with no mess. Never seen the spray but i don't care if anyone spills it in my boat

Ditto, had a friend spill it in my new boat. It was gone in about a month. I don't know how they could sell that stuff if it stained your boat carpet permanently.

I am old with RA --- I have spilled & my OLD FREINDS (Tom) has spilled more chartreuse Spike-It in my boat than I care to imagine
you can use the neutralizer or just forget about it --- leave it (the boat) out in the sun and weather and it will be gone soon.
it is not really a big deal. Even the garlic smell will go away
Now --- on another note, don't get that stuff on your Sunday Go-to-Meetin clothes ………. it ain't coming out. I was just trying to match your boat to your fishing shirt.

I keep mine in a zip lock bag, just roll down the sides a little and do my dipping, never take it out of the bag. I used carpet cleaner to take coffee stains out but never spilled Spike-It...yet ! Don't know if it would work on Spike-It. This is what I do. Not the coffee stains but the plastic baggie.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools
