So I made the venture out east to fish Richland Chambers, super awesome lake. Great bites all day, all on plastic. Do you guys think this bass is a DD? I didnt have a decent scale, she measured 26 1/4". Spawned out, would love to have caught her a few weeks earlier! [Linked Image]

Scale read 11.2 pounds, it was a battery type from Walmart, it kept dying and seemed inaccurate so I'll be definitely upgrading soon. She came out of 14 fow, thought I hooked an old station wagon at first. My buddy was smashing hybrids on a hump in open water and I tried down low with a C rig, she was right underneath of them!

Using your crappy scale....measure something of known weight to see how accurate and repeatable it is.

Without replacing the batteries.

That is a toad. I also say weigh a 10 pound weight on your scale to see how accurate it is. You can get a good estimate then what she weighs. I would not be surprised if it was over 10.

I'd say that fish is 8 1/2 to 9 1/4. Nice fish whatever it weighed, congrats.

That is one heck of a fish, Congrats!
It's close if not a DD so get a good scale for next time.

Great fish but the photo suggests it does not have enough girth to be a double digit fish even at that length.
