If the lake holds at 4ft high, will most of the ramps be open by end of this week? Jordan Park is closest ramp for me. If anyone has been able to get on the lake the last few days, how has the fishing been? Will assume the gates will be open by end of the week (only time I have to get a couple of hours in) so that won't be helping me any. Haven't been on the lake in a few months.

I went by there this past Sunday and boats were out in full force. I live 8 minutes from the ramp and heard rumors it was closed, so I drove by and this wasn't the case.
I sure hope it's open, I get my boat back tonight and I'm itching to go just to get line wet.

Jordan should still be open this weekend. The lake level is pretty stable a the moment, slightly rising. I fished Sunday from the willows out to 15' with minimal results to show for it. Massive shad spawn going on but as usual the only fish in them that I've seen is sandbass.

I live on the North end and those ramps are closed but as far as I know Jordan, IDB, and Sanger are all open. Marina will stay open too I am sure. Lake looks beautiful this week and I am dying to get out fishing as I drive across the bridges on the way to work in the mornings!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Thanks guys. I'm fishing regardless of the water getting let out....but can't do much about it if the ramps are closed. Going to give it a shot this weekend and will let you know how we do.

Last weekend about time to go we figured out to fish the pre flood shoreline with shad imitators. Only fished that way for 30 minutes or so and caught two one was a nice one. Lots of sand bass on the shallow points if you need a little entertainment and I am guessing a late wave of spawners this week.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Going to have my girlfriend with me and she doesn't fish much so those sandbass might be a blessing in disguise. Thought I might hit some of the the mid-lake treelines north of Wolf Island for post-spawners. She's never caught a fish on a frog so I might venture into Indian to fish the flooded stuff. Not sure if it will be muddy.

Saturday fishing was mucho fun, had 11 keepers and a handful of short fish... we had a shot at a megabag but thats fishing. There was a 3 hour lull without a bite, but all in all we had a blast. Could not believe how good the water looked, had to get way up the northern creeks before it started getting muddy. West arm is NASTY looking.

OK-quick report for Roberts. Put in at Jordan around 830am. Wind blowing 15-20mph. Went to back of Indian (almost to the bridge) and fished calmer pockets on either side. From 1ft deep out to 12ft. Frog, fluke, senko, spinnerbait, texas rigged lizard and brushhog. Not one bite. Didn't see fry. Didn't see shad. Didn't see any beds or cruising bass. Maybe a carp or gar here and there. Really sucked for us. Water in great shape and not muddy so that was nice.

No bites around Wolfe but ended up catching 5 close to the dam with 4.2 being the biggest.

Fished rob from 5:30 to around noon everyday this week but today and didn't catch much of anything.
I was seeing fish everywhere from the bank out to 25ft but couldn't produce a bite. the only fish i managed were up in the flooded brush in Indian and only caught 3 spotted [censored] been a rough week hopefully these storms next week are pretty mild and dont stir the water up too much

Fish may have started pulling out to the main lake but today I couldn't even try that due to wind. If I had to go back tomorrow (and assuming no wind) I would hit main lake tree lines, pond dams, etc maybe close to the mouth of creeks like Indian. I didn't even see sandbass schooling in Indian today. One dead crappie and one dead bluegill floating. Saw a couple of boats but they moved frequently enough to make me think they weren't on fish either.
