I had a buddy in the boat and he dropped the entire bottle of spike it on Gray carpet, a lot of things I've found said time and sun will fade it out. Any suggestions on chemicals to use to help the process? Or where to find the old spike it remover?

Time and sun are about your only options. Friends don't let friends use spike it in the boat. I don't even trust me to use spike it in my boat.

He may need to start using spike-it marker. I won't use the marker. Gotta be real careful. Only sun is your true friend, here....

I am old with RA --- I have spilled & my OLD FREINDS (Tom) has spilled more chartreuse Spike-It in my boat than I care to imagine
you can use the neutralizer or just forget about it --- leave it (the boat) out in the sun and weather and it will be gone soon.
it is not really a big deal. Even the garlic smell will go away
Now --- on another note, don't get that stuff on your Sunday Go-to-Meetin clothes ���. it ain't coming out.

I spilled an almost full bottle on my front deck which is gray. Man I was sick about it but within 2 or 3 months it was completely gone.

Yep, had some spilled in my boat. Drove me crazy. Faded away to unnoticeable in a few months.

I keep mine in a zip lock bag, just roll down the sides a little and do my dipping, never take it out of the bag. I used carpet cleaner to take coffee stains out but never spilled Spike-It...yet ! Don't know if it would work on Spike-It.

I'm always seeing these posts about the spills. Why does nobody use the spike it spray. Cant spill that. Works the exact same with no mess.

we use the spray as well --- but in the wind the overspray will get on the boat.
AND besides that --- haven't you heard if a LITTLE is good -- use ALOT.
AND when you use a lot of the spray it DRIPS as well -- on the carpet and boat.
BUT -- as with the dip, it will go away --- NO BIG DEAL.

I agree with this. I double bag it, and hold it out over the water when I dip. But it sure does work.

Spike It Story. My brother and I took a trip to Amistad a few years ago and stayed at recommended motel close to the lake. My Bro decided to spike his baits in our room early on the morning of our first day of fishing. Spilled a full bottle on the carpet. We had the room booked for three days. Never heard a word from the motel but man, did that room smell. Could hardly sleep at night.
