I have 2 201B5 greenies. I once had a 4:3-1 but once you hooked the fish if it charged the boat you could not reel fast enough to keep it hooked up.

Quite a few Curado B reels on eBay at this time. When I did a search, it came back with over 200 chances. I KNOW there are not that many B reels for sale, but the first page was filled with reels of the 200 B series. Anywhere from $50 to $120 for them. Go look, if interested.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...313&_nkw=Curado+B+reels&_sacat=0

Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I’m thinking that might be the best deal can always add better handle and knobs

I’ve always been a Shimano guy. Most of my rods on deck are old grey Chronarchs and Calais. The last 5 or so years their reels have been less than desirable to me. The new Curado DC and Metanium are the real deal though. Best new reels they have made in years

A good bang for your buck is a ABU Ora Winch. When TW has a sale of 15-20% off and they are $80-85

For the majority of my crank baits I like the Daiwa Tatula CT 5.5 -1 gear ratio or the Lews Super Duty 5.4-1 . Both are very smooth but I seem to get longer casts out of the Diawa's. For large cranks and heavier swim baits I like the Lews Super Duty wide spool. 5-1 gear ratio.

If your heart is set on a Shimano the Curado E in a 5-1 is a great reel but you will have to search for one since they are no longer made.
