‘The paddling community will feel the pain of tariffs in many ways. Imported paddles, kayaks and boats will take a direct hit as prices are passed along the supply chain to the consumer. There is no doubt that a 25% price increase will slow demand and hurt sales. Paddlesports have long been a way for the middle class to enjoy the outdoors on a reasonable budget, but most middle class families can’t just ignore a 25% price increase on a leisure item.”

Glad I got mine.

May want to edit the first portion as that's a quote from Jim Hoge, VP of Sea Eagle from the article you have posted. I do find it interesting that according to Sea Eagle's history their first inflatable was manufactured in France and obviously their inflatables are currently manufactured in China. So, I'm wondering if this company has ever produced a product in the US?

Brooklyn, Eddy Gear, Elkton, Field & Stream, Kaku, Riot, Riptide, and Vibe are manufactured in China and will be hit the hardest by the tariffs. I'm sure other manufactures source parts for their kayaks from China as well, but shouldn't be as impacted by the tariffs. Aluminum and fabric in the seat and maybe rudder components being the biggest culprit. Higher steel prices could contribute to fewer developments/designs/models of kayaks due to the increased cost of molds.
