My son and I will be in South Padre Island next week and are looking for a redfish guide. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Never been down there but I'm sure there are Fishing piers down there. If Reds are all your fishing for just bring your favorite rod setup , rig it Carolina style with appropriate egg weight to adjust for the current and use some fresh cut bait....mullet etc.

They started to run last week at the jetty. Took some clients out last week and caught a few over slot. I have three charters this week and we will be working the flats around the drum boat.

Thank you so much Capt Nathan for your South Padre recommendation, Capt Joe is an outstanding guide. We limited out on both trout and redfish. The 2nd day, Capt Joe showed me several different ways to catch big reds, sight fishing is a blast! The weather was rough with high winds muddying much of the Laguna Madre. Capt Joe's knowledge and experience kept us on fish both days.

Once again, thank you so much for recommending Capt Joseph Prado!

I will be sure to call you for a trip next time I am in south Texas!
