I've never bass fished this lake and usually stay around the East Texas area. Not asking for any special spots just some advice on running the lake and what fish normally relate to? I know many things have probably changed since the flooding.

thank you

Skipping docks is a great place to start. Top water has been working well the last few weeks.

+1 for docks. I usually fish up the Colorado arm of the lake in Kingsland.

Sorry to mention that it'll be June 20th weekend if that makes any difference. Will definitely flip a few docks. Will the bass get out on ledges with the current? Threadfin shad? Gizzard Shat?

You'll want to find some coves and canals and stay off the main lake. That lake like many others are a zoo during the summer. Main lake will have some major rollers due to pleasure boats. Google Map will be your best friend right now. Take a look at it and find some out of the way places and pitch the docks and slips. LBJ is my favorite lake to fish.

You'll be pretty well into summer so I'd recommend going out early while it's still cool. That also cuts down on boat traffic on the main lake. As boat traffic picks up I usually head into big coves and work the docks and seawall edges/rip rap. That won't be a holiday weekend so traffic won't be too bad but it only takes a couple wakesurfing boats to send some pretty good waves. I've never seen much shad on the lake but the creeks are full of sunfish in the spring and summer. Again, I fish the Colorado arm so the main lake by the dam might be different.

I catch fish on LBJ 2 different ways. Docks like mentioned or the grass near dam, neither are a secret for sure.

I'd be surprised if any of that grass near the dam end of the lake survived that flood last year.

I appreciate the comments. I bet the lake will be a little different after all the flooding. I'll post some pics if we ever get on them.
