I use this mh for most of my frog fishing its got enough flex for easy casting and working a frog with the tip of the rod etc.. I also use this same rod for chatter baits and often for flipping pitching especially in texas!! For the big fish.. This is a good all around rod, but it has enough back bone that it worked on 7lbers on chatter baits out of 7 foot grass for me in tx etc.

I also had this rod and it is clearly more of a normal STIFF one a lot of people use for frogs, jigs etc, too me the one below was too stiff for the action I like on a frog and a little too stiff for flipping pitching etc. I used the below one for a while for c rig.

I tried several before landing on this rod for floating frogs , will never use anything else.

Power tackle PG 105-76 for swimming frogs.

In fact I just dusted them off today after sitting for 4 years!

Been using Impulse Energy, it's a multi technique rod. Like it so far.

I made the switch to this rod earlier this year from a 7’4” H Cara & have been super pleased. The Christie Frog Rod is shorter at 6’11”, but has the same action/make up as the 7’3” H Amistad. It’s super light (weight wise) with a split grip & the shorter length allows for precision accuracy.

For close quarters frog fishing the Christie is hard to beat. Great skipping rod too

Pic your price point.
Dobyns Fury 735c retails for $119.99, http://dobynsrods.com/rod/fr-735c/
Dobyns SA 735c retails for $179.99. http://dobynsrods.com/rod/sa-735c/
Dobyns DC 745c or 736c retails for $259.99. http://dobynsrods.com/rod/736c-fh/
Dobyns DX 745c or 746 retails for $349.99. http://dobynsrods.com/rod/dx-745c-fh/

I use the DX 746c f/h and it doubles for a punching and extra heavy cover pitching rod. However, for a dedicated hollow body frog rod you don't need to spend money on an ultra sensative rod. That said, for the money the Fury Series FR 735c at $119.99 would be hard to beat for the price and performance. If you ever think that you may use the rod for other applications the SA 735c for $179.99 would be money well spent. They are all high quality rods but as you increase in price, obviously the higher quality components are used giving you an incrimentally a more sensitive and lighter rod.

I tried a Denali N2 7'2 XH slop rod yesterday on a spro frog and it seemed a little stiff when walking it.

Oh I forgot my current favorite is the Lamiglas frog rod. 179 I believe

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!
