Depends on water color. Dark water go dark. Clearer water go lighter. Always match the color of the water first and color of the bottom second. This is most natural for what is in nature. Animals match their surroundings.

Ive had good luck with New Penny. The only other color Ive tried is pearl white but that didnt do as well.
