Had a blast this morning met a buddy that has never really gill fished but he fell in love, At daylight started off in 1ft ro 3 ft crickets and worms under a bobber caught gills, red breast and some other species, Also caught some crappie and cats on crickets, The bite slowed down about 10am then went out to 6ft ro 8ft and started catching some really good 7 inch and bigger fish, Kept a few as my buddy has never eaten them before. 1st trip out this year all I've been doing is crappie fishing, Water today was super muddy but didnt stop the hungry fish, My buddy fell in love.. I need to keep figuring these species out like I do with crappie. Got home for mothers day with my wife and son and family..
