My wife and I have been taking the boat to Bridgeport for about three years now, and had very limited success. We caught a couple of fish under the 380 bridge one day, and one or two trolling on other occasions. We kept on trying Bridgeport because it is never crowded, and is easy on the eyes.

Today we got the boat out for the first time since early last summer and tried Bridgeport again. I finally got onto some sand bass, and we caught eighteen or twenty. We had a good time and will be looking forward to the next trip with a little more anticipation. It's nice to get out on the water and just enjoy the day, but add catching some fish to that, and it becomes a really great day!

I'm no expert on Bridgeport, but its always been tough for me MOST of the time..I fish LM and they can be on one day, then gone the next..Try fishing the main lake points and the bank south of the island ,and plenty of boat docks..three fingers docks are good at times..
and you are correct, it is "easy on the eyes"

I meant to mention that there is quite a bit of debris floating around in it right now...I suppose that's true on every lake lately, but since this has been my first time out this year (except fishing with my father-in-law at a fantastic small private lake in the area), I wouldn't really know that. But at least at Bridgeport, I would discourage anyone who wants to go out at night. They's some big ol' trees floatin' round yonder!
