looking at the 10 ft pescador and the pro model, the pro has the stadium seating,,, Ive never paddled a boat w/ that kind of seat. I have a OK frenzy , but want a more fishing oriented kayak. be using in Lake friendswood , clear creek , some down at 8 mile. can you tell me how the stadium sits vs, a regular seat ? thanks

I have the 12 ft pescador pro. My old kayak is an OK Scrambler, so very similar to your frenzy. I LOVE the pescador pro. The seat is about a million times more comfortable than the OK Scrambler. There's a high and low position. I used the low position at first because I was a little nervous about getting tippy at the high position, but there's no issue. The high position is not that high (there are youtube videos on how to make it higher). After some use you will have to replace some bolts that hold the seatback to the seat portion, but that's an incredibly minor issue and a $1 kind of fix. I can't say enough good things about the yak. I've had mine for a little over 2 years and it was a great purchase. I've thought about getting the 10 ft version for my kids and guests. The pescador pro also tracks well...again, about a million times better than my Scrambler. I would spin like a top in the Scrambler with every gust of wind. One note: The molded in rod holders are useless. I stole an idea I found on youtube and installed a pair of inexpensive recessed rod holders just outside the molded in ones and they work well.

No problem. Glad to help. You may have to get a slightly longer paddle. The boat will be wider than you frenzy and you will be a little higher off the water. The setup for a fish finder is really solid. Plenty of room for storage, etc. Again, I am super happy with the boat. Just need to put it in the water more often!!!

Steve58 I would recommend going with the Pescador 12 instead of the 10 if at all possible. Life will be much easier paddling the 12. I think you would enjoy it a lot more. Well worth the extra $200. I'm also a big fan of the Pescador line of kayaks. We have a couple of the Pescador Pilots. I've recently been working on adding LED's to one of the Pilots and my Hobie. After cutting into both kayaks to install the switch plate the hull thickness on the Pilot is greater than the Hobie. Not by much but it is. I can't say enough about the level of customer service Confluence Outdoors (owner of Pescador line) provides too.
You get out of it what you put into it!

Jerry my only thought on the 10 was easier carrying. But I have a old full size ram I guess I could strap it in. the frenzy is like sitting on a potato chip in the water.

I like the elevated seat because it gets your butt up out of the water extending the kayaking season. The biggest down side is it raises your center of gravity making the kayak easier to tip over. Most kayaks with elevated seats are fairly wide so tipping over is usually not an issue.
I recommend the 12' kayak over the 10' unless you weigh 150 (or less) and travel light. I have a Ram single cab short bed with just over a 6' bed. With the tailgate down it is about 8'. I carry 12' kayaks all the time. If it is just one kayak, it sits diagonally across the bed and is tied down from the overhanging handle back to the bed. It only sticks out about a foot or two past the tailgate. I put a little red flag on the overhanging handle so I am legal if some one rear ends me.

There is a reason why many of the manufacturers (high, mid and low end) are moving to stadium styled seating... simply put, it's more comfortable. Given a choice, I lean firmly toward comfort... this statement proves that I'm getting old
