Why would you want to even take the time to try and figure that out?

I gave up Golf, Bowling and Deer Hunting to fish. Golf was costly and very upsetting, bowling took up a lot of my time with 3 or4 leagues. The deer least went from $250 a gun to $ 1000. Yes my old boat is payed for, and I have an old Expedition that thinks gas is free but when I am on the water LIFE IS GOOD. I like the other guy if the weather was better I would fish a lot more.

Wanna really know?
Weekly...
At least 3 tourneys a week, tues, thurs, and sat. $100+ Senkos, frogs, line, etc. $35-40+ Gas for boat $10+\- Gas for truck $80+\- Food drinks $40 Boat repayment to savings $75
Thats the weekly stuff. Add the occasional spending on a new rod, reel, power pole, graph, whatever.
It gets up there pretty quick. Im close to breaking even each month on working mans winnings. It aint easy being a wannabe. Ha

Why would you want to even take the time to try and figure that out? Ha ha all the keyboard pro fishermen on here sure were worried about it when I posted some info to help a guy on falcon in Feb.... since I had been there 5 weeks and ONLY caught 160 fish or something like that. Of course they thought that was bad, since according to guide pics and posts falcon was on fire... I think they had me at some astronomical number thinking I was staying in a 100 a night hotel bla bla bla... they didnt bother to ASK (200 rv lot rent a month), fishing from 10-11am to 4;30 as the longest days etc.

I'd rather not think about it. I'm trying to keep my receipts related to fishing this year to get some sort of idea and possibly for tax write-offs. I've tried the last couple years but never went through with it

I don't know, but walking out of a store with about $30 per ounce of lures is enough for me to not even try and keep up with it. LOL

Are you on no wake lakes? Im fishing. Not water skiing. Lol. It doesnt take more than 2 minutes to off load the boat and another 2-3 minutes to get to where Im gonna drop the trolling motor and fish. Also, its a 4S Yamaha. Fuel sipping beast. This is a very real estimate on fuel. Most Ive ever spent was $50 in fuel in one month fishing local stuff. When I fish the opens, it could be $25-30 a day prefishing. If Im buying lots of fuel, I aint winning a tourney, because Im still looking for bites.

I'd rather not think about it. I'm trying to keep my receipts related to fishing this year to get some sort of idea and possibly for tax write-offs. I've tried the last couple years but never went through with it I decided to keep a record of everything I spent on fishing one year. Before Janurary was over, I decided I didn't want to know. If I knew how much spring time cost, I would have been sick.

Let's see, I bought a Helix 9, a Solix 12 mega, a Ultrex 112 TM in the last year (I retired that year and it was my retirement gift to myself). Like someone else said, I really don't want to know how much I really spend on fishing each year. It's a "hobby/obsession", does it really matter?
