All my neighbors have zero turns and mowing about 1.5-5 acres each so we have seen a lot of different brands of zero turns. I currently have a Dixie Chopper, but the consensus of the neighborhood is to go with a Kubota next time you buy.

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

skag,

Trust your own instinct. Your mistakes might as well be your own, instead of someone elses.

I just bought a cub cadet ZT2 50 cut. 23 hp Kawasaki engine. Seemed the most mower for the money to me.

I currently have a Dixie Chopper and like it. Really going to look at Grass Hopper when the time comes.

The Gravely will run at 13 mph, it's been a great mower for 13 years, I'm tempted to try just replacing the 27 HP Kawasaki Engine

Go to Harbor Freight and get their 22hp vertical shaft engine ... it's made for just this type application and it's a bunch less expensive. Good motors.

Have a gravely that has been great mowing 1.5-2 acres. I wish the rear tires were a little larger as it is a rough ride. Next time I will consider x mark or kubota.

Had one of the other brands before, bought a Skag Patriot and it mows better than the green and yellow one I had by far
