Need a finder for the bow of my boat (17 foot Triton aluminum), would love to have a Livescan but can't bring my self to pay for the whole package. It would cost over 40% of what I have in the whole rig. Just want something that shows me depth and structure. It has Chips down imaging that is supposed to show a lot more area than the others without Chirp. Any comments?

Hook2 7x is great unit, you can set wpts, but there's no mapping its just a plotter. the 2d, side scan and down scan works great. If you looking for mapping/charting look at the Hook2 5 triple shoot or the Hook2 7 triple shot.
