Just curious when fishing all day tournaments is it better to use one or stand all day? Was looking at maybe buying a new post and seat for the front but cant decide if I should

I use one all of the time. Too old to try to stand any longer. I am tall, so I put my seat on a tall post, works great.

Never use it, hate it being in there. I may put it in if I know it is going to be really windy, but most of the time I forget.

In my 60's and all busted up from doing stupid stuff, truck wreck and working 42 years in a chemical refinery. I sit or lean on one, changing thru the day as needed, also my balance isn't what it used to be.

I'm old and have a bad back, so have to use one to lean against. If not, I wouldn't be able to stay out long at all.

I wish I used mine but it just seems to be more in the way for me personally. If anything makes me fall out of the boat I feel thats what would cause it.

Use it to lean against versus sitting on it. Especially in wind. Use to it so dont really notice and miss it when I dont take.

Just like any lengthy activity you have to think about ergonomics to survive and not put strain on body parts. Its good to lean, stand, or sit but not any one for extended periods. Good posture and keeping your core strong are a most. I also have one of those small foam rollers I use that does wonders on my back when it gets a little sore and stiff.

78 here , still use butt seat, keep a queens chair in the back for my older friends. (disclaimer) I have lowered the butt seat , so at the lowest position , I can almost sit on it
