Guy with the cut shad post got me thinking. What is the strangest thing you were using and caught a large bass? I have to say fishing with bread for carp was mine. It was a long time ago but it was a 5 plus.
When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip! #Brockstarama

Ive always fished for bass. So, Ive never accidentally caught a bass. I have caught a lot of unusual catches while Bass fishing though. Crappie on Vision 110s, carp on c rigged lizards, HUGE blue cat on a robo worm on 6lb leader, etc.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I've caught more big bass on a crappie jig than anything else but that's not all that uncommon.

Probably a grass shrimp about 1/2 inch long when junk fishing. I've always assumed that it was going for a bluegill and I hooked it but who knows.

Chicken Liver. My daughter was trying to catch a catfish while i was bass fishing. I was moving the boat with the trolling motor and she left the chicken liver hanging in the water of the back of the boat and caught a five pound bass. Must have been the motion in the water that attracted the bass.
