oh yea and what is the best motor cover for a Yamaha sho? The one thats already on it, I don't get the material cover deal Me neither. I put a brand new cover on my engine before a Falcon trip about 5 years ago. When I got there I noticed that the cover was rubbing abrasions into the paint so I took it off and gave it to a guy staying at the same hotel. I don't understand covering nicely painted cowl with canvas. Kind of like the old car bras.

I use Yamalube ring free and Star Tron fuel additive. Also run non-ethanol fuel whenever possible. Change the 10 Micron filter once a year is recommended too. One thing you'll notice with the SHO is it really does sip fuel and is super quiet. Good luck and go catch'em.

Not to mention some old engines run hot with them on in the summer, probably not a problem with the newer ones though. If I had an old beat up cowl with stickers coming off I might would put one on, that would be the only reason.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

It only has 6 hrs on it when should the 1st maintenance schedule be done? Congrats on the boat bud! you made a great choice. On the SHO......get to 10 hours, then get your 10 hr service done, then drive it like you stole it!!!!! Im on my 5th Skeeter and have found out that's the best way to do it. I have never put anything in with my fuel and never had an issue. I do get Ethanol free gas though.
