I just wanted to give a quick update on Lake Fork. Water temp 70-72. The lake is high, there has been much flooded cover and grass & the lake is fishing good most days. We’ve been catching most of our bass targeting this shallow cover/ Banks in pockets with V&M Pork Shads/ fluke style baits weightless or on very lightly weighted 3/0 & 4/0 hooks. Slow presentations on 15# & 20# Fluorocarbon line. There are still bedding bass. We’ve been targeting Midlake to South with this pattern.

Also, using V&M Thunder Shads/ 5-inch swim bait style baits, with a light 1/16 or 1/8 screw-in bullet style weight (Florida Rig) and casting these in the weeds & between shallow bushes. Slow presentation & in heavy cover, be sure to let the bass load on the bait before setting hook hard! 20# Fluorocarbon or braid is what we’re using on this pattern. Northern areas with Post Spawners have been best on this.

Swimbaits on main lake points with breeze or wind & 20# Fluorocarbon. 5-6” boot tail swimbaits Rigged on an 8/0 swimbait hook, skin hooked & slow to medium retrieve. Again, let fish load before hard hook-set. Secondary points have produced with Carolina Rigged soft plastic of choice.
