It's a 75 boat tournament. There's enough room for 3 of them and every guide to work at the same time. With the lake full and most of the fish still shallow it should fish really big anyway.

I just hope it's not won on a big glide.

This, anymore not many of the big current names are with the bassmaster tour

Heck yes they should work.
Remember most of these guys fishing the event are guides or started as guides. I would think it would be pretty two faced of them to expect guides not to earn a living for a week so they can fish a tournament.

Retirement best job ever.

Because 99% of the fishing world still doesn't understand how good it is. I'm not denying it would be fun to watch someone bust 40+ lbs in 30 mins though.

Doesn't the BASS Elite rules make the lake off limits to information as the lake is announced. Surely the Elites would not break the no info rules.

I would not fish it the day(s) of the tourney. If I was a guide, I would take the week off, at least Sunday and Monday , as I think the increased boat traffic from spectators mainly, would make it not a lot of fun for my clients. But, to each his own. I would not disparage a guide for taking clients during the tourney days, we have to make a living.

Is it even a question?? Just dumb... I am going fishing because I'm off... I don't give two [censored] about the pros. I'll fish my spots if nobody is on it when I pull up.

I find it ridiculous that anybody would think that everyone should stay away from a lake just because the pros are fishing it. Why would the people who live locally and fish the lake regularly would avoid it for 4 or 5 days so the pros can "make a living".

Who's complaining?

I did see/hear of a couple guides taking the week off and fishing elsewhere or spending time with family out of respect of the event.

Thats all I have heard about most Fork Guides are class acts
