I was just wondering if anyone has ever fished the lake right South of Walmart in Canton. I had a friend tell me it was a decent little lake with a nice boat ramp but didn't have much more information than that. I was just wanting some input. Thanks in advance.

Like every lake it has it's days. If I could figure out where they go in the summer and winter there I'd probably have more to say.

It spits out some huge fish on occasion. Lots of DD have come out of Mill Creek: https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/action/waterecords.php?WB_code=0503

Very traffic/fishing pressure sensitive lake.

Used to be on a Friday I could get there at sunrise and be the only person on the lake for an hour or two. Last time I was there I counted 16 trucks/trailers in the parking lot plus kayakers. Way too crowded.

Yes that must be the lake he was telling me about. I wend and looked on Google maps and it said it was a soil conservation lake. So I wasn't sure if that was the right one. Thanks for all the help.
