Don't believe the hype you hear about Slime line. It has great visibility but their claims of low memory is a joke. I spooled several of my best crappie rods with it and will be taking it off before my next trip. It doesn't even hang straight in the water. Going back to my old standby Strength fluro blue and Stren Crappie line.

plus one on the mr crappie hi vis..

I do go to 4lb. in winter because I like to cast or I'm fishing deep and then later 6lb and gradually back to 8lb. in summer pending depth and temp. their are prob some monos out their with less memory I used to like trilene xl but for all around good line and good price I nearly exclusively use mr crappie hi vis.. I do use spectra sometimes for shooting docks and in heavy brush.

I see a lot of guys using Mr Crappie. Maybe I just got a bad spool but I just took it off all my reels. It was 8# but it broke like 4#.
Worst Ive used as far as strength goes.

Went back to Trilene. Hard to beat strength wise.

Low Memory? Best I have found for low memory is Bonehead...I like to use the 8lb, because it is the diameter of 4lb in relation to other manufacturers. Kinda crazy that it seems to hold up very well, with good manners on my dock shooters. Of course, I use good reels, to keep line problems to a minimum, but I just gravitate back to Bonehead. I will use others for a while just to see if I am missing something.
