Pretty cool idea to add a DIY handle to your boxes for walking the banks in search of fish. I have did this to all my quick access boxes for shore and kayak fishing. I have used a backpack as well, but this works well when trying to travel as light as possible for quick trips. How many boxes do you normally take with you for bank fishing trips?

Neat tip thanks for sharing. Side Note: I have seen several types of tackle carriers with handles and straps both on the internet and at Bass Pro! There are also some neat tackle bags that are very convenient to carry both by hand and on kayak. Have seen the tackle bags and tackle back packs at Bass Pro, Academy, and Dicks. They are also available on Amazon. Again you have a great idea and the cost would probably be a whole lot cheaper!

Para cord and duct tape are two things that every fisherman keeps in their gear.
Just one more cast!

Para cord and duct tape are two things that every fisherman keeps in their gear. You got that right...plus some TP in the truck or boat....don't forget the TP.

Great tip and easy to do. I do not use trays but for the many anglers who do,that would be a good thing to do!

Neat trick and thank you for sharing.
We all fish differently. Part of the question was what do we use.
I pack a back pack. Backpack has my essentials to include at least be water bottle, sometimes two. And YES, it has duck tape and TP!!!! The TP is even in a ziplock bag!
I have all my tackle in trays. I pack the trays I think I will need for each trip. I could pack 3-4 trays. It has been as many as 8-10. Just dont know, it really depends on the rods I am taking.
One tray has nothing but 1/4 oz road runners. Another tray has nothing but weedless. I even have one tray set up for Texas Riged worms.
The last time I was in a boat I just used a carabiner to attach the entire back pack to the kayak.
But again, we are all different.

Thanks for sharing, I do the backpack thing as well sometimes, but sometimes I just think it's easy to go in light and not be dragging a bunch of stuff around with me. I especially use a backpack when I go surf fishing...but most of my quick freshwater shore excursions I just drag one or 2 of the small boxes around with me. Great call on the duct tape and TP
