I am hearing that there is a lot of griping about guides continuing to run trips while the pro's are on the lake? What's are do y'all think about it? Personally I think that if that is how they support their family then why should anyone else have the right to tell them they shouldn't be on the lake.

BASS should pay what the guides make in a week in late April / early May if they do not want them on the water.

I agree with you. They do this every day for a living, so if they have a guide party scheduled, they should go.

No reason for anyone to stop fishing.
If they want a lake to themselves then there are other less fished lakes.

I have no problem with the guides trying to feed their families. I have no problem if anyone else who has a day off from work and the stresses of normal life to head out to Fork and fish public waters while the pros are out there if they want to either.

This is public water. Guides make there living of these waters. World doesnt come to a end because pros come to town. Hopefully they can commingle together and everybody has a good time

No matter what happens someone wont like it. Just go about your daily routine and don't worry about what others are saying. Guides and pros both have to make a living out there on public lakes. Im sure one doesn't expect the other to stay home and lose money. Its probably just the fans that are complaining anyway. And those same whiners will be the first to move in on a spot when a guide or pro moves out.

The pros should have the same conditions as anyone else that fishes the lake. On any given weekend this time of year you may see 20-30 boats in one cove. Plus, guides need to eat too!

I did see/hear of a couple guides taking the week off and fishing elsewhere or spending time with family out of respect of the event.

I think most of the boats on the lake will be guys potlicking new spots as they follow the tournament on their phones.
