Just wanted to hear opinions of what spinning reels yall like under 250

250 on one spinning reel.... I dont have to spend the entire 250 I just want to really nice reel. Im eventually going to need a pole also

Sedonas are pretty great and not even close to $250

I dont do any cranking with my spinning setup. As mentioned above a Sedona or so will be extremely reliable and buy a decent rod.
Arent you normally bank fishing? Save $150 towards your first boat.

$250? Whew. I bought a couple of Penn 300 Fierce II reels for surf wading, very simple design and well built. Now use them for my shaky head set up, solid reel for $59. Absolutely zero complaints, was good for 18 lbs and 4th place in a tourney on rayburn recently. 30 lb braid and 20 lb Fluoro leader, on a $99 st croix mojo rod.
Im not sure how a super expensive spinning reel is worth its money unless youre drop shotting with 8 lb line and need the best drag system available.

I can fish with a 100 reel but is more fun in my opinion with a high end reel. I have a Shimano Bantum and I love it. I also enjoy the lighter weight and the fact I can drop shot with it if I choose to in the future plus its going to last a long time.
