Anyone stayed there? About to book a room there for the next few days. I'm curious if any one has any experience there.

Yes, I've stayed there. But that was several years ago. There may be better places these days. As a bonus, the AVN awards were going on in Vegas at the time. A BUNCH of them were staying at the hotel and hanging out in the casino. I didn't even know what the AVN was before that weekend.

Stayed just about everywhere that's on the strip. My advice and what the wife and I think is the best by far is Aria. Second is The Palazzo then Ceasars. Stayed last time at the Bellagio and won't go back there. Way overrated in our opinion. We didn't like the Venitian only because there is a wierd smell in that place that reminds you of cheap air freshener.

My daughter had a soccer tourney in Vegas for 5 years straight and it was ALWAYS during the AVN Awards. Always told the girls to just look at the ground when going through the lobbies of the hotel. I, myself enjoyed the evenings people watching in the lobby.

The Palazzo and The Venetian are owned by the same people and they are connected together by a mall type area. I personally get a room comp'd at The Palazzo so that's where I stay. I have never stayed at the Aria but have always heard good things.

A five spot for a shot and a beer? And you wonder how we wound up here.

True dat. It's all the fresh flowers they have everywhere and it was getting a bit overwhelming by the end of our stay.

I feel like everything in Vegas is a less-than-desirable smell

The Venetian is nice. Never stayed at the Palazzo, but Ive heard good things and they are connected. My room in the Venetian was one of the nicest rooms Ive stayed in while in Vegas.

So that's what that smell was. Nice at first, but yes, I can see where someone could be overwhelmed by it. Wife and I stayed there about 3 years ago. I had forgotten about that that smell until I saw this thread.

Everything on your bass boat is broken......You just don't know it yet.

We stay there once or twice a year, typically in Palazzo side

Cut is between the 2 and it's hard to find a better steak house anywhere. Bucheon is pretty good breakfast. LAVO sucks, I like the Chinese place next door at Wynn. Nobu at Caesars, the Palm for lunch is a good idea, aquanox is good raw bar and seafood too
