So today we got to the lake late around 11-11:30 and off the lake by 4-4:30pm. I go to get my truck and something looks out of place on my trailer... someone had cut my winch hook off my trailer and threw it on the ground by my right front truck tire. Then I start my truck and it smells like dead fish coming through my AC vents, what gives?

You cut somebody off on the way or block somebody in ? Dead fish smell is a mystery too.

See thats what I would have thought too but we went from my storage room 5 minutes from the ramp to the ramp, put in and went fishing. I walked the parking lot to see if anyone elses stuff had been jacked with and nothing.

That's why I launch at the Isle De Bois State Park now. I have not had a problem there but several at the non state park ramps.

Although he most certainly had no involvement in this whatsoever, Scagnetti may what the message could be.

See that’s what I would have thought too but we went from my storage room 5 minutes from the ramp to the ramp, put in and went fishing. I walked the parking lot to see if anyone else’s stuff had been jacked with and nothing. Well then I guess it was just an ahole and didn't like the color of your truck OR thought your truck was someone else he knew. Sorry it happened either way.

Sounds like you need a game cam in the back window of your truck next time or two out!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

This could very well be a sign from the fish gods that you need to branch out and fish somewhere other than the marina.... we cant know for sure, but the oracle speaks of other locations on the lake that hold giants. In all seriousness, while waiting out the lightning at Jordan yesterday morning some seriously sketchy characters were coming by cruising the parking lot. They didnt stop and look at the lake or have fishing poles in the vehicles, just cruised on through slowly looking around. 2 different cars in the 45 minutes I was there.

You definitely rubbed someone the wrong way. Be glad its only a $7 winch strap and some shrimp (likely) on the cowling of your hood. Could have been worse...money wise.

Did anyone catch any fish? Saturday I was the bug, definitely not the windshield! Something changed big from last Monday to Saturday for me! Release rate at the dam more than doubled from what it was last Monday.... still a little over 1200 CFS now. I can remember Lindy Roberts back in the day on the Texas Fishing and Outdoors show saying if they were releasing more than 330 CFS to just turn around and go home. LOL. We caught fish Sunday, just couldn't get anything over 3 lbs to bite. We'd have probably caught more but I let my partner out at the marina ramp to go use the restroom, he came running back laughing with his knife in his hand smelling nasty saying something about packing some dudes hood full of rotten shrimp he found in the trash.
