Hey y'all. New to the forum. Granger is probably the closest lake to me. Second would be Decker. Anyone fished Granger for cats? I've heard it's pretty good for blues and channels. Thoughts?

Thanks

Why the PMs? Why not share info with others. It's not like the entire state is going to converge on one lake.

I fished Granger yesterday, was good/bad!!! We put in at Wilson Fix Park, went right towards the damn. The first big creek you can see the mud line. We drifted from there and did REALLY good, cut gizzard shad was our bait. The BAD...along with drifting I threw out 6 jug lines, they were doing even better than drifting, so good that someone else was checking them for me!! At one point I only had four, and found one with the line cut almost to the other side of the lake!

Because every time I have posted the URL for another website it was deleted.

Thanks tomasc. I was planning on going Saturday but ended up having to help a relative move (frustrating). Have a hard time catching bait?

That's a good buddy! I sometimes struggle with the bait part. Fishing from a kayak comes with some challenges and catching bait is one of them. Should be getting easier this time of year though.

Looks like a LCRA gauge just to the north is showing almost 3"

I PM'd you the same thing I pm'd the OP. But you haven't even bothered to read it. Did you want to know or you just trolling?

Did ok on Granger this weekend. Was after yellows, but only managed 11 blues. The biggest of which was 11 lbs. They all but on live goggle eye. We did catch one small yellow cat that was just barely legal. Water was up a little over 5 foot, but there really wasnt too much debris to worry about.

Thanks for the report! In shallow water or in the channels?

Was hoping to get out Sunday but found a seal leaking on my trailer and ended up fixing that and working on other things.
