Leaving in a few days for a road trip to Durango and anywhere else we find intriguing. Going to stash the fly rod and was wondering if any suggestions as to places that would be good for a new guy to try. Not looking for anything specific, just would like to say I caught something in other states. Heading from Belton to Durango and then eventually back at the end of the week. Will be tent camping.

How is the Kokanee fishing on Spinney during the summer? Me and a buddy are planning a fly fishing trip to CO this summer, and we’re planning on stopping at Spinney first and then continuing on to Timber Creek Campgrounds in the Rocky Mountain Nat Park to fish the Colorado River.

Sorry no koks in Spinney. Rainbow-cutbow-browns along with some trophy pike . Eleven mile res has koks but why mess with dinks when there are trophy trout to be had. Snow storm here today gone tomorrow. It'll be a long runoff this year.

Kokes are down deep in the summer..... go to SPinney for the cutbows. Eleven mile is for trolling and fall fishing.
