How do the gates being open or letting water out affect fishing.
Versus gates being closed.

Thanks!

usually hurts the bite.. I am sure they will be open for several days if it comes up but its currently slightly below full pull so only the powers that be know the answer to that.

Others on here have said the gates being open doesn't really affect the bite. I would agree to an extent. It doesn't seem to hurt the shallow fish but I'll guarantee you it hurts the deep bite.

This!

They had 1 open this weekend and we absolutely crushed them! But when these fish gang up deep, that's normally a different story.

Are they maintaining full pool or are they actually going to drop it?

Good deal, when is it supposed to quit raining? My yard there is going to need to be mowed badly.

Yeah, one open shouldn't have a noticeable impact. 4 open on the other hand...

I don't care if they're open or not when I get a chance to go ( Friday ) I'm going and I'm gonna give'em a lot of chances to get their picture taken. I never check before I go to see if the gates are open or not I just try to fish the lake as it is. Worse case scenario I get a lot of practice casting and far from 635 and Walmart shoppers. banana

Last weekend the water up north looked like the bottom of a septic tank. Of course that was after a couple of days of hurricane force north winds. Further south it cleaned up a bit but was still stained.
