I have some Gen1 Lowrance units that just started to cut off everything I start my motor what should I look for to find out what is going on? thank for any input

Sounds like low voltage to me. Most MFD's will do that if voltage drops below a certain level.

I ran straight to my battery because Mine did the same thing.

Due to low voltage.
It is a nice warning that your battery or charging system needs attn. Do not ignore or bypass it.

Had the same issue. Turned out to be a bad ground on my power distribution fuse panel. Cleaned the connection and it stopped. Also put battery terminal grease on them as I reworked them. Low voltage during cranking showed me the issue that would have eventually made them not even turn on.
