That's an interesting take away from that article.

Lets review.

Mlf made a rule that their anglers could not attend the classic expo. Sponsors said hold up little fella we have contracts with bass and your anglers we aren't letting that fly then ducket changed his little mind. Or "softened his stance"

You follow that?

Little fella? Just wait and watch. BPT will do nothing but get bigger and better.

What kind of skin in the game do you have that requires so much hate for BPT and Duckett?
I will be the first to tell you I am not a fan of Duckett as a fisherman, but as a businessman his success speaks for itself.

I love all the extra footage MLF has provided for their events, with the live streams starting on Tuesdays of their events. And I like the CWR format. But some of the stuff Duckett has said just doesn't line up. He's said several times that they're not competing with B.A.S.S. or FLW... everyone with half of a brain knows that this is hor$e$hit.

And saying that the MLF angler's can attend the Bassmaster's Classic Expo because they need to "focus on MLF" would only make sense if there was a scheduling conflict and MLF had something going on at the same time as the Classic. Right... they're "not competing"

So I like the format, the streaming, and obviously the familiar anglers, but worry about the honesty some times.

What follows is 1 part pure conjecture, 1 part conspiracy theory, and 1 part joke. The degree to which you take it seriously is done at your own expense.

I was at an MLF event earlier this year and couldn't help but notice that mount of good looking women in their 20s walking around in MLF apparel and with badge credentials. I thought to myself, "Goodness gracious, one guy in the office makes an inappropriate glance at one of these women, and the whole tour collapses as part of a #MeToo lawsuit."

Quite a few of the old fellows that moved to MLF were pretty good at working the bass expo on Saturday and Sunday. Working the Classic expo would make them feel right at home. Glad to see BASS moving on to a new generation of anglers for the fans.

It sounds like Duckett already thinks he is the big boy on the block. Maybe he needs to learn to walk before he runs.

And people wonder why so many aren't jumping on the MLF band wagon. They started with the hard sell by bashing the traditional five fish tournaments and handling of fish. That backfired on them and they pulled their add. Now, they pop off and tell sponsors that their pros cant work booths at other events. That has backfired and they are "softening their stance". Duckett needs to realize he needs the sponsors more than they need him. Which sponsors are going to abandon all the other trails and cater just to MLF besides Ranger, Nitro and BPS? Which pro is going to be the first to bail on MLF?
