I use a spinning rod that is a real medium heavy its the same mh blank they use for a casting rod, it is easier to cast a mile with the weight and bait separate than using a bait caster. I use 30 lb braid to a 20 floro leader for a 12-14 inch worm which is the only thing I throw c rig. I crank the drag down solid like on a bait caster. https://www.fxcustomrods.com/collec...-2-xas-70-medium-heavy-fast-spinning-rodThese rods are 165 each, very good feel good guides and have a lifetime warranty even for stupidity.... 60$ to replace plus shipping. I save up mine so I warranty 3 at a time and save on shipping.
