Garmin has Livescope, and Lowrance has LiveSight. Has anyone heard if / when Humminbird will be adding that technology?

I'm sure they will and it will better than Lowrance. Lowrance just threw something quick together and sent it out.

Don't hold this to me as I am only the messenger in what I have been told. It was from a pretty good source that is sponsored by Johnson Outdoors. They were told to be patient. Something coming in October 2019 from Humminbird. That being said I am anticipating to hear an announcement in July at the 2019 ICAST show in Orlando FL. with shipping around late fall early winter.

My opinion. In technology, when someone introduces a product that is 1yr behind, it means they didnt see it coming until it was introduced. Then, they put together a development effort to try to keep up. Garmin isnt going to sit still in this next year either. I want competition to drive prices down. But for now, Its an arse whooping all around.

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

From what I have seen when it comes to fish finders, the prices do not drop, they only go up. Prices only drop at the end of the the model's life cycle/production. Glad to hear Humminbird will be a ways off yet. As I agree with an earlier post to try to save the money up for one.

Bingo!!

Competition does not control Pricing Points between the Manufacturers...

So far I have seen Garmin with the best technology at the best pricing points offered. "IMHO"

Not always,, he who holds the sword maketh the rules.. sometimes, a simple phrase in a patent can dictate what can and cant be done.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
