Mark - I like reading your post and appreciate your insight, but in my opinion the truth is somewhere in the middle. Duckett does a good job spinning the narrative but I dont buy the "Awe Shucks.. I still love BASS and want everyone succeed" ... From what i can tell, the email sent to sponsors said something along the lines of "From this point forward - MLF pros are forbidden to attend any event or show put on by another organization"... Duckett then walked that back on BTL and said, "well if the sponsors want the anglers at the classic show, then we will make that happen".. which is a direct contradiction from the email.

With that said, I enjoy watching MLF and all 3 leagues ... I hope that all are successful.. but this is a business with a lot investor money on the line... and they will want returns.. From my 'completely outside' prospective this is about MLF crushing BASS and eliminating competition ...

Yep, he knows they won't be the big dog until he knocks the bassmaster classic down a notch.

I thought he said that if the sponsors want them their they will negotiate to make that happen. I think making the announcement that the anglers won't be at the 2020 Classic expo or the 2020 FLW FW Cup is a tactic to negotiate with these sponsors to make sure they buy booths at the 2020 Red Crest and that sponsors don't pass on their big expo.

It's really the same 3-4 guys on here. The rest seem to be just general fishing fans with legit opinions that lean a little more towards a specific series.

The interesting thing is how much BASS stepped up this year because of competition. Lower entry fees, better coverage, more live streaming, etc. So even if you are a BASS die hard, MLF made your life better or at least got BASS there faster.

I just wish MLF/BPT would get Scott Martin on board.

Agreed probably in the middle. I get the reasoning behind it.
