If the Stars play like they played last night, they'll win this series in 6. I can't see Nashville pulling a miracle for 2 more games.
All three of the goals Bishop gave up were horrible goals to give up. His positioning is typically moderate to poor. He depends too much on his size..which I think is also why he gets injured so much. But that's just my opinion.
The 2 goals that went off his blocker were ridiculously stupid goals to give up. Even he said during the post game that the first one, he was between punching it out and trying to take it in. Even at that rate, he wasn't square to the puck on either one of those goals.
Dobby won't get in net unless Bishop really stinks it up.
I also questioned adding Spezza and Nichushkin. I like Oleksiak in the lineup because he's a banger. I think the hitting took Nashville out of their game last night. They just got fortunate that Bishop failed a few times and they can't score on the power play.
As an aside, I don't know who started this long drop pass when trying to enter the offensive zone on a power play. It seems to be a pretty new concept. I think the Stars cough it up 9 out of 10 times either at the blue line or right after they take the blue line.
Stars win on Wednesday.
